The OND-350D double-disc grinder has undergone a major overhaul along with adaptation to the minimum safety and health requirements according to directive 2009/104/EC.

OND-350D double-disc grinders were manufactured by Zakład Budowy i Remontów Maszyn W.Z.S.P. in Pabianice. These are conventional grinders, used in production plants for unitary, small-lot production consisting in grinding: rough elements of steel and cast-iron structures after cutting, sharpening tools e.g., drills or lathe knives with the use of coolant. The advantage of these grinders is the high rigidity of the machine tool due to the use in the production of the grinder of bodies cast in one piece of cast iron, completely closed, preventing the formation of vibrations during the operation of the machine.
The scope of the general overhaul of the OND-350D double-disc grinder includes the repair of the mechanical part, the electrical part, the derivation of the geometry in accordance with the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and EN. During the overhaul of the grinder, in the mechanical part, the following were performed: spindle regeneration, replacement of damaged mechanical parts (pulley, V-belt pressure screw, pressure discs, V-belts, bearings on spindles). A new cooling system has been installed.
In the electrical part, the following were made: a new electrical installation (new wiring), a new electrical cabinet and a new control panel. A new LED lamp has been installed; an inspection of the electric motor was carried out with the replacement of bearings. PMA-10/216 type guards with microswitches were installed on the machine tool to protect the operator against rotating grinding wheels.
